I have the Eye of the North key on my account already. It lists it as being added, and it says so my PlayNC account as well. However, the BMP promotion has not yet shown up.

However, I just checked my PlayNC account, which my transactions are tied to (or whatever) and it lists the time of purchase as November 1st...despite me purchasing EotN at like 11:55 PM of Pacific time on the 31st...

Here are my two screenies...the first of the ending time on their site and the second of my purchase...and yes, they're pretty crappy proofs...





If I don't get the BMP, I guess I'll contact Support.

If it shows they key added - what are you complaining about? They said it comes out in November - don't think they specified a day.

...the thing is, it should qualify me for the Bonus Mission Pack promotion, as the official website did say 11:59 PM of the 31st. However, I do not have the BMP access key on my GW account and the PlayNC transaction shows my purchase as on the 1st of November...which is today. That is what is worrying me...not whether I have EotN or not...

So please, read the whole thread before you start posting...

The deadline was Noon Pacific yesterday, as it said on the official BMP Page and on the official wiki page.

The Bonus Mission Pack qualification period is over now. The BMP will be released sometime in November. I'll let you know as soon as we have a release date!

That's really disappointing that Anet urged people to make in-store purchases of $29 or more via a Last Call advertisement on their Official Web site that listed an 11:59PM deadline, yet won't honor that deadline. Talk about false advertising.

What's even more disturbing is that PlayNC support linked me to the Official Wiki page for details on the BMP, which also listed an 11:59PM deadline.

Can I get a refund for my purchase, which was made solely for the purpose of qualifying for the BMP per the stated 11:59PM deadline?

There is a HUGE difference between 11:59 PM and 12:00 noon, on October 31. Nearly 12 hours, in fact.

Will the individuals that purchased $29+ worth of items on the in-game store or the website on the 31st before the deadline be getting the key added to their access keys?

Much like anna i made these purchases just for the promotion and i met the deadline by 11:30 am Eastern so i should have more then qualified for the BMP by 3 hours from the deadline.

While I understand your frustration, it would be so much more productive to discuss rather than to accuse. Simply pointing out the issue was enough for me to step into action, and I did. I would really appreciate fewer of those oh-so-forum-typical "ArenaNet is evil" comments and a few more simple, neutral comments, like "Did you notice the inconsistency?" or "Hey, what's up with this!?" My earlier response was quickly made on my way out the door to track this issue. I responded without seeing the examples of the error (in-game message, news post) knowing that the wiki page and the BMP page have always said Noon. Anyway, just think how much more happily we could all work together when it's "There seems to be a problem" rather than "You %(*#*(&%s! You're trying to rip me off!" :-/

The programmers will be running the confirmation script within the next few hours. Those who ordered up through 11:59 PM Pacific last night will receive the BMP, if they qualified. My primary frustration came from the fact that PlayNC support never admitted that a mistake had been made, nor did they apologize for any confusion created by Anet. Their initial response did not directly answer my questions. Instead, it linked to 2 sources of information, which listed contradictory information (and these were the exact links I had posted in my initial help request!)

Upon seeing your post, I became more frustrated since it seemed to gloss over the situation--it stated a single deadline of 12:00 noon without acknowledging the 11:59PM deadline.

In any case, thank you for the response and for honoring the 11:59PM deadline.

I'm sorry that my post was very brash. Sincerely sorry.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I was waiting to see the winners of the Halloween Art Contest (I got finalist ) before deciding on purchasing the box version or from the In-Game store. I didn't get a chance to see the list until around 3 PM yesterday, and after that I decided to order online, since it was $5 cheaper and came with the BMP. I was planning on ordering later that night before going to bed, but after checking some sources it stated noon of the 31st. I sort of got disappointed and was just about to give up when I checked the GW website around 11:45 at night, with an announcement stating 11:59. Quickly asked my mom for her credit card and ordered it right there and then . So much happier now


However Gaile, I still have one concern. As seen above on the PlayNC website, my transaction was listed as being on November 1st, despite ordering at around 11:55. Why is that so? And would that pose a problem as to obtaining the BMP?

Thank you for being so gracious, anna. There has been a lot of negativity lately, and it's seldom that someone says "I'm sorry." I really appreciate that, and in turn apologize if my reaction seemed over-stated. No idea about the discrepancy. Maybe the order takes processing time, but surely that would be just a minute not several. After all, we don't have monkeys in the back room typing up the orders on 3x5 cards.

Did you receive a receipt or an emailed confirmation? Oh, yes, you would have, for the digital codes, right? Can you check your credit card online? What do either of those say? I think Support can look into this, but first see if the script shows you're ok for BMP confirmation by checking after the script runs tomorrow, ok?

Oh, hey, congrats on placing as a Finalist. It was a really competitive contest this time -- you did well!

Just checked my Account, and it lists me as authorized to play the Mission Bonus Pack .
